Daniel J. Crowley
Daniel J. Crowley, 88, of Cortlandt Manor, New York, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026.
Daniel was born in the Bronx, New York, to Bartholomew and Dorothy Becker Crowley.
He lived a life centered on family, friendship, music, and laughter. He was an avid gardener who found great joy and peace in caring for his gardens and sharing their beauty with others. He was also known for his wonderful singing voice, his contagious laughter, and the happiness he brought to everyone around him. Whether sharing a song, tending to his garden, telling a story, or simply offering a smile, Daniel had a special way of making people feel welcome and loved. He will be remembered for his kindness, warmth, humor, and the many lives he touched throughout his years.
He was married to his beloved wife, Rosalie Caliendo Crowley, for over 60 years, and later married his wife, Kathleen Crowley.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Crowley; his loving children, Regina Ross (Gus) and Thomas A. Crowley (Andrea), and his stepson, Kyle A. Brown. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him tremendous pride and joy throughout his life. In addition, he is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Daniel Crowley, his first wife, Rosalie Caliendo Crowley, and his eight siblings.
Daniel leaves behind many loving family members, dear friends, and neighbors who will miss him deeply and remember him always. His voice, laughter, gentle spirit, and love of nature will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY 10566, on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Assumption, 920 1st Street, Peekskill, NY, on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 10 am.
Interment to Follow at Assumption Cemetery, 1055 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567.

Vicente M. Herrera
Vicente Herrera, 95, of Swedesboro, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026. Born on February 7, 1931, in Ancon, Ecuador, he lived a long and meaningful life rooted in love, dedication, and family. He worked for 18 years with Anglo Ecuadorian Oilfield, building a foundation of skill and discipline that shaped his early life. At the age of 38, he immigrated to the United States to give his family a better life – a decision that defined his legacy of courage, sacrifice, and hope.
He later settled in Peekskill, New York, where he spent many years as a machine operator with Tensolite Wire Company, known for his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to providing for his family. Perseverance, loyalty, and generosity guided every chapter of his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carmen Herrera, and his children Carlos Herrera, Sandra Cunius, and Vincent Herrera. He was a devoted grandfather to Joseph Giordano, Alexandra Herrera, Amanda Giordano, Elizabeth Herrera, Robert Herrera, and Olivia Herrera. He also leaves behind cherished family members Linda Herrera, James Cunius, and Theresa Herrera, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
He loved to laugh and treasured every moment spent with his family. An avid swimmer and enthusiastic home improvement tinkerer, he also enjoyed watching soccer and dressing sharply for any occasion. He believed deeply in the importance of gathering for meals, especially sharing dinner surrounded by those he loved most.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday May 19, 11 am, at Assumption Church, Peekskill, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor. Visiting one hour prior to mass at Dorsey – Carlone Funeral Home, 1100 Cortlandt St. Peekskill.
He will be remembered for his warmth, his strength, and the legacy of love and resilience he leaves behind.
