Linda Magnotta

Linda Rose Magnotta, recently from Peekskill, NY, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026.
Linda was born on May 10, 1946 in White Plains, NY, to the late Liborio (Lee) and Mary Lazetera. She grew up on Battle Hill alongside her siblings, Robert (Molly) Lazetera and Marie (late Anthony) McCreavy, who both predeceased her. Her family owned and operated Lee’s Market, which specialized in Italian provisions.
After graduating from White Plains High School in 1964, she attended Claremont Secretarial School in the Chrysler Building. Linda originally aspired to become a court stenographer, but her path changed after meeting John J. Magnotta.
John and Linda were married at St. Bernard’s Church on April 18, 1971. Linda is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, their daughters, Donna, Debra, Elizabeth (Ernesto Banos) and Christina Magnotta, who they raised in White Plains. Linda is also survived by grandchildren, Kirk, Nicholas and Liliana, who were her pride and joy.
For over 30 years, Linda worked side by side with her husband in their business, Saw Mill Artworks, a custom picture framing and art supply store. She then became a school bus monitor for children with special needs — a role she described as one of the most rewarding of her life. She also proudly served as a school crossing guard for the Scarsdale Police Department, a position she truly loved. The day she returned her badge was one of the hardest for her.
Linda was blessed with a large extended family of in-laws. She is predeceased by her mother and father in-law, Jennie and John Magnotta. She is survived by Frank (Rita) Magnotta of Somers, Jeanie Cianflone (John Dubbioso) of Thornwood, Mary (late James) Leonard of Brewster, Rosella (Alfred) Donnellan of Armonk, Theresa (Drew) O’Shaughnessy of Cortlandt Manor, and Joanie (Michael) Bivas of White Plains.
Linda also had many nieces, nephews, dear friends and extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s name to the National Kidney Foundation.
