On the eve of Mother’s Day, Station Square will once again become a vibrant celebration of community, art, and local economy. On Saturday, May 9, dozens of creators, musicians, and small businesses will gather at Railroad Avenue for the Mother’s YAY! Market, one of the most anticipated spring events in the city.
The event will begin at 12 p.m., next to the Metro-North station in Peekskill. The fair will remain open to the public for at least five hours. The gathering, organized by YAY! Markets, is designed for all ages: family-friendly, free, and with a strong community focus.
Mother’s YAY! Market has been consolidating its presence over the past several years. Residents of Peekskill and other Hudson Valley communities attend the event in search of gifts for Mother’s Day. The fair operates on multiple levels. In addition to celebrating mothers, it also serves as a key platform for emerging artists, entrepreneurs, and independent brands seeking direct visibility with the public and an opportunity to strengthen community ties.

This year’s event will feature nearly 40 carefully selected local vendors, offering a range of products including flowers, art, vintage pieces, ceramics, jewelry, natural skincare products, artisanal food, and sweets.
Participating vendors include Emily Bicht Designs, Luxipawtique, Happy Places, Cantaloupe Cards, Sweet Francesca, Nic & Jules Skincare, Wildflower Crew, Earth Tone Farm, Hung on Wood, SpillQueenCreates, Takarindwa, Sterling Bake Shop, Loni Makes alongside Madame Susan Sauces, Wyffels Rd., Springroll Supper Club, Holly Curtis Pottery, Glow Honey Skincare Studio with Hairstyles by Brianna, Cheeky Eats, Illustreus, Second Story Sewing, RH Soapery, Andreacello’s Chocolate Cello with Giamia Cucina, CM Cookies, Subomi’s African Attire, Mostly Oak, Hounds’ Homestead Bakery, Cantique, Klineware Pottery, Stardust and Pine Needles, Rooted in Me Natural Products, Pome Florals, Jedako Jewelry.
In addition, the market will include institutional participation from the Planning Department at City Hall, Retake Remake, and Arts 10566. The layout of the market has been organized through an official map that will allow visitors to navigate each vendor, discover new talent, and locate their favorite products.
The YAY! Markets digital platform provides a complete vendor list with photographs, direct links, and in some cases pre-order options, creating a hybrid experience between the physical and digital space.
While commerce is an important focus of the day, music will also play a central role. DJ Joey Mercedes will set the atmosphere throughout the event, while live performances will include Ben Dyleuth at 1 p.m. and Anita Rein at 3 p.m.
In the event of rain, the Mother’s YAY! Market will be moved to Sunday, May 10. Organizers are also seeking volunteers to assist with setup and breakdown, greeting visitors, counting attendance, supporting the information booth, and capturing photos or video during the event.
The event is also made possible thanks to the support of a network of local sponsors. Arts 10566 serves as the main partner, a nonprofit organization dedicated to youth programs in arts, music, dance, and STEAM. Hudson Milk joins as a supporting sponsor, highlighting its commitment to locally sourced and sustainable food. They are joined by local businesses including Dylan’s Wine Cellar, Mondays Gifts, Peekskill Coffee House, Retake Remake, Pome Florals, The Central, and E&M Auto Body Peekskill.
