Frances Brault

Frances Brault was a proud and devoted mother to her nine children and a wonderful grandmother.
She was a member of the Secular Order of St. Francis for 74 years. She was kind, humble, thoughtful, and generous.
Loved by so many — her daughters Diane Hansen, Mary Forte, Kathleen Youseff, Eileen Brault, and Maureen Giarolo; sons, Patrick and Shawn Brault; 11 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren — she will be dearly missed. To welcome her home is her husband, Raymond, her parents, sister Christina Rudloff, and brother Raymond Brault Jr.
In Frances’ memory, donations may be made to the Saints Elizabeth and Louis Fraternity, 210 West 31st Street, New York, New York 10001, where she was a member and director of formation for many years.

John W. Heffernan Sr.

John (Jack) William Heffernan, age 96, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, in Palm Harbor, Florida. He was born on February 1, 1930, in Peterborough, Canada, and resided in Peekskill, New York, until 1976.
Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army Corps of Engineers during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. Following his military service, he built a long and respected career in the construction industry, where he was known for his craftsmanship and dedication. He contributed to the development of numerous commercial buildings, leaving behind a lasting mark through his work.
After retirement, Jack continued to serve others by dedicating his time and skills to his church, assisting with maintenance and various projects. His strong work ethic and commitment to service were evident throughout every stage of his life.
Jack was especially known for his attention to detail, a quality that defined both his professional achievements and his personal character. He took pride in doing things the right way and was admired for his reliability and integrity.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sarah Heffernan, who passed away in 2018.
John is survived by his sons, David Heffernan and John Heffernan Jr.; his five grandchildren, Billy Heffernan (spouse, Natasha Heffernan), Dana Heffernan, Danielle Heffernan, Deanne Heffernan, and Daniel Heffernan (spouse, Faith Heffernan); and his seven great-grandchildren, Anastasia Heffernan, Billy Heffernan Jr., Justyn Stubblefield, Sean Stubblefield, Erik Stubblefield, Amelia Heffernan, and Emma Heffernan.
He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and the lasting impact of his hard work and generosity. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the strong foundation he built for his family.

Charles Jones

Charles passed away on March 24, 2026, at Hurleyville, New York, where he resided for two years.
Charles was born in Lynchburg, Virgina. His parents were James and Mae Jones. Charles attended school in Lynchburg, Virginia. In the early 1960s, Charles moved to Peekskill, New York, where he met and married his wife Shirley in 1966. They had a son, Anthony C. Jones Sr.
Charles was employed as a laundry company driver in the 1960s. In 1980, he drove for Vanguard, Ossining, New York. He went to drive for Hudson Valley Bus Tours for many years, and in 2000 he went to J&R Bus Tours until his retirement.
Charles is survived by his son Anthony Jones Sr and daughter in law Ursula of Hurleyville, New York. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Amber Perpignand, Tiffany Barber, Tamika Jones, Lynn Holliman, Ursala Jones, Alonzo Gibbs, Elise Jones, and Anthony Jones Jr. He is survived by 20 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren; his sister Khadijah and brother in law Maurice Karriem of Charlotte, North Carolina; sister in law Jacqueline Jones of Lynchburg, Virgina; sister in law Barbara Stokes of New Jersey; nephews Butch Jordan of Peekskill, Damon Jones of Middletown, Armid Jefferson of Atlanta, Georgia, Jihad Karriem of Virgina, and Kent Stokes of New Jersey; and two nieces, Tammy Stokes and Jamillah. He also leaves behind loved ones Tina Scott, Anita S. Chesseman, and Brad Scott in Virginia.
Charles was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Ann Jones; mother, Mae Ella Jones; father, James W. Jones; brother, James Sonny Jones; brother, Robert Jones; brother, Leslie Les Jones; and sister, Gwendolyn Jones Grodney.
Charles was a fighter to the end. He will be missed.

Donald Mann

Donald Herman Mann Sr., 89, of Cortlandt Manor, New York, passed away on March 22, 2026, with his loving wife Patricia by his side.
Born to Luella and Herman Mann on March 24, 1936, Donald grew up in Middletown, New York. Donald enjoyed a lifelong love of music and even performed in a band, Billy and the Country Rockers, in his younger days where he played the pedal steel guitar. He settled in Cortlandt Manor, New York, in the late 1950s, where he raised his two children, Elna and Donald Jr. (pre-deceased). Donald was a proud, hard-working member of the crane operator’s union for 48 years and helped build New York City’s skyline. He also enjoyed riding his Harley in his spare time.
Above all, Donald cherished his family. He married the love of his life, Patricia Higgins, in 1988, and they celebrated 38 years of marriage. He is survived by his sister Bernice and brother Joe. Donald is also survived by his stepchildren Patricia, Robin (pre-deceased), Michele, Michael, Tina, and Jimmy (pre-deceased). Donald leaves a legacy of 19 grandchildren: Danel Wilson, David Pecora, Joy McCray, Brianna Martin, Amanda Deagan, Joseph Calabro, Danielle Franzoso, Anthony Franzoso, Peter Franzoso, Tricia Franzoso, Dana Solit, Michael O’dell, Michelle Baldini, Stephanie Baldini, Jessica Deagan, Melissa Mann, Nicole Deagan, Gianna Deagan, and Johnny Matthews. He also leaves behind 21 great-grandchildren.
Donald was a faithful servant of God and led a life of kindness and modesty.
Per his wishes, there will not be public service. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
