Cool Down with Movie at Esther Place

Wednesday evening film ‘Kiss The Ground’

Just in time for a heat wave, Peekskill Conservation Advisory Council, in collaboration with Peekskill Walks presents An Environmental Film Series on Hot Topics.  The first in-person movie will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. on Esther Place in downtown. The topic is soil regeneration practices and there will be a shortened version of the movie “Kiss The Ground” narrated by Woody Harrelson at 8:45 p.m.

The evening begins with a panel discussion featuring co-founders of Scarsdale’s Food Scrap Recycling Program, Michelle Sterling & Ron Schulhot along with Anthony Carbone, President of Sustainable Materials Management, Inc. of the new industrial composting site at Roa Hook in Cortlandt and members of Peekskill Conservation Advisory Council discussing the city’s progress on soil sustainability and composting.

There will be live musical performance throughout the evening including renowned musician Lisa Gutkin as a special guest.
