In honor of Black History Month, Sun River Health will screen the 30-minute film Blueprint For My People by documentarian, filmmaker, and Peekskill resident Carol Bash at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, at the Jeannette J. Phillips Community Health Center, 1037 Main Street, Peekskill.
In addition, songwriter, music historian, and Berklee Music School graduate John Anthony Ferrer will perform five popular African American songs at the event and share how they relate to this year’s event theme.

About Carol Bash
Documentarian and filmmaker Carol Bash is the Founder and President of Paradox Films, a media production company based in Peekskill, New York. The award-winning documentary filmmaker with over 25 years of experience serves as Programming Coordinator at Black Public Media.
She is a Peekskill Arts Alliance Board Member and an Organizer/Programmer of the annual Peekskill Film Festival. She has produced and directed promotional films for PBS, World Channel and non-profit organizations.
Carol has worked with Firelight Films on Tell Them We Are Rising: The Story of Black Colleges and Universities, which premiered on PBS’s Independent Lens and was nominated for an Emmy Award.
