The next “Cars & Coffee” event, held in partnership with Westchester Cars & Coffee, will be happening in Peekskill on April 21 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on South Water Street next to Homestyle Bakery.
Road & Track Magazine will be coming to Peekskill to cover Westchester Cars & Coffee bringing their editors and staff and possibly a few interesting and very special cars for their April/May 2024 issue themed around “The 20 Greatest Cars We’ve Ever Driven.”
The morning will be jam-packed with car-centric excitement. Listen to an exclusive conversation with the editors as they discuss their experience crafting the stories for these issues. They’ll be on the lookout for one lucky vehicle that will be named “Editors’ Choice” – complete with an official Road & Track trophy. The editors also have a few special surprises and can’t wait to meet the local car enthusiasts.
Any and all makes and models are invited to display at this event, ranging from EV enthusiasts to classic collectors. Special giveaways for junior car-lovers will be available.

Basil Kazepis, founder of Westchester Cars & Coffee, and a 2024 recipient of the 4th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Recognition Award by the Peekskill Youth Bureau for his groups outstanding community service efforts for the Peekskill Youth and CHHOP told the Herald that, “well over 250 cars from sports cars to exotic cars and everything in between will be on display.” He “highly encourages spectators” and wants people to know “the event is free and open to the general public…taking place at 24 South Water Street.”
The popularity of Westchester Cars & Coffee meets in Peekskill has grown over the past four years since moving to Peekskill from Yorktown. Word of the group has spread throughout the car community, the state and even the nation. The group’s weekly Sunday meetups from March through November as well as their numerous events giving back to the Peekskill community, caught the eye of Road & Track Magazine.
Road & Track magazine is an American automotive enthusiast magazine first published 1947. Road & Track has a circulation and audience of over 5.5 million people from print, digital and social media. It is owned by Hearst Magazines and is published six times per year.
Usually, car enthusiasts can bring their cars without registering prior to the weekly event, however this event will be so big and extensive that car enthusiasts had to register in advance to include their favorite car for this exclusive Road & Track cars and coffee event.
In order to accommodate the influx of cars, the general public parking will be located at the Riverfront Green, along Central Avenue, along South Street east of Route 9, in the parking lot across from the Peekskill Train Station. Additional parking can be found by visiting Discover Peekskill. South Water Street will be closed from Hudson Avenue to Central Avenue.
For those who have registered for the Road & Track Magazine/ Westchester Cars & Coffee collaboration, the organizers are asking registrants to arrive early. Registrants should use the Main Street exits on Route 9 & Rt 6, drive south on Main Street and turn left onto Water Street near Sue’s Sunset House and Bantam Tools. The check-in entrance will be located near Dain’s on the corner of South Water Street and Central Avenue. All other entrances will be closed and blocked off for this event.

Westchester Cars & Coffee started in Yorktown in 2012 and moved to Peekskill in March of 2020. The group welcomes all cars to the meetup and pride themselves with the diversity their meetups have to offer. From gearheads to novices, sports cars to exotic cars and everything in between.
