LEER EN ESPANOL
Early Sunday morning, two individuals identified as ICE agents were seen knocking on a door in the 1500 block of Main Street at about 6:30 a.m., on August 3. A little later, individuals with vests marked Police and FBI–some masked–were seen on First Street.
Agents were focused on a house on the corner of First Street (925) and S. Division Street, directly across from Assumption Church. Photos and filming took place by a witness and shortly after leaving the driveway of the residence, numerous agents got into their unmarked cars, which were parked along First Street, and left.
Later in the morning, a picture and message was posted on the Instagram account @policewatch914 with details of the nine vehicles the agents were in: two black Dodge sedans, two black Fords, one silver Sedan, one black Sedan, one black Nissan Rogue, one silver Hyundai Sonata, one silver SUV. The Instagram post also noted that agents approached the house while others remained in their cars, surrounding the residence. “We knew nothing about their presence,” Peekskill Chief of Police Leo Dylewski told the Herald.
