Five Saturdays of faith and fellowship are coming to Peekskill this August. The initiative, titled Summer Olympics: Faith in Motion, will bring together children, teenagers, and young adults—ages 6 to 30—for games, food, spiritual activities, and community bonding. Organized by The Peak Community Church, the event will take place at Depew Park and is designed to create a safe and engaging youth space for connection and recreation.
According to the organizers, the program will begin on August 2 with the opening of the Olympics at 1 p.m. Activities will continue on August 9, 16, 23, and 30. Admission is free, though participants are encouraged to register in advance via a link shared by the church. Attendees may sign up for individual dates or register once for the full series.

This marks the first edition of the Summer Olympics of Faith, and while no prize details have been announced, the emphasis remains on full participation and enjoyment. Each Saturday session will offer at least four hours of programming, including group games, worship segments, and shared meals.
The central area of Depew Park will serve as the meeting point, where stations for games, food tents, worship spaces, and group discussion areas will be set up. According to event leaders, Faith in Motion blends playful dynamics with spiritual reflection in an evangelical Christian framework. The program includes group challenges, live music performances, and faith-centered messages.
The Peak Community Church aims to gather young people who seek to strengthen their social bonds and spiritual lives. The event also embraces an intergenerational approach, as the target age group spans from elementary-aged children to young adults. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, bring water bottles, and complete the online registration whenever possible.
This year, the church will also organize Rock the Riverfront, scheduled for September 27 at 10 a.m., as part of its ongoing efforts to engage the local community through seasonal public events.
