Ariana Almeida-Martinez is taking over the reins from Dave Mueller as editor of Peekskill Herald’s events calendar features. Mueller, a Peekskill native and history buff, has been with the Herald since October 2023. He is stepping back from his part-time editorial responsibilities due to a new work schedule.
Mueller has been instrumental in creating a robust Herald events calendar that curates local happenings with feature writing and in-depth reporting.
His coverage has done more than list things to do and places to go. He has delved into the backstory of countless community organizations and celebrated what they bring to the general public through their enriching events.
Dave’s ability to paint vivid pictures with words for a wide variety of diversions – ranging from pottery sales to riverfront concerts – has made each daily events feature entry as entertaining to read as it is highly informative.

We look forward to her diligent attention to detail and description of the many interesting things to do in our community, taking the lead from the rock-solid foundation Mueller has so effectively established.
