Lately, many have been wishing time would just slow down for a few seconds, minutes or even a few days. But time keeps on ticking and the holidays are right around the corner, literally and figuratively. If your holiday shopping is not complete, do not worry, do not fear, Antonia Arts and the Copperhead Club last minute Holidays Boutiques are here.
Just in Time Holiday Boutique at Antonia Arts
On Saturday and Sunday, December 21st and 22nd, from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m., Antonia Arts opens their event space for the Just In Time Holiday Boutique. At this pop-up shop, located in the Artist Spot at Antonia Arts, a variety of vendors will be offering handmade jewelry, holiday wreaths, fashionable clothing, nutcrackers, handmade ornaments, books, soaps, candles, apothecary, original art and so much more for sale. Not only will there be amazing local artists and handmade goods, but between 2 and 5 p.m., Santa Claus will be there to take pictures with. And of course, there will be holiday music and sing-alongs with Santa who makes everything jolly and bright.
The Just in Time Holiday Boutique at Antonia Arts will take place at 925 South Street in downtown Peekskill.
Last Minute Pop-Up Shop at the Copperhead Club
On Sunday, December 22 from 3 to 6 p.m., make sure to stop by the Copperhead Club, for a one-of-a-kind Last Minute Pop-Up Shop. Copperhead Club partnered up with Kinship Co-working to create a unique shopping experience with handmade unique gifts that are must haves for those whom you are still trying to find gifts for. Over seven local artists and vendors are scheduled to be there with products for sale ranging from natural skincare to ceramics, woodwork, to keychains, bottle openers, and coasters. You will also be able to find jewelry and desserts, pastries, Skinchanted CBD and of course, Copperhead Club merchandise.
The Copperhead Club is located at the very bottom of Main Street on the corner of N. Water Street and Main Street. If driving down Main Street towards the Route 9 Exit and Entrance ramps, keep following Main Street until the street comes to an end. You know you have made it when you see the large 20 foot Holiday skeleton on the roof sporting a Santa hat and holding a large string of garland. Park your car across the street in the City parking lot, and head on over to the Copperhead Club and step inside.
Vendors expected to be at the Copperhead Club include:
- Rebecca’s Paradise – Natural skincare/candles
- Robin Kline – Ceramics
- Cody Aspen Art – Woodwork/mirrors
- Hung on Wood – Woodwork/Cutting boards
- Karen Gave Up – engraved coasters, cutting boards, prints, keychains, bottle openers etc.
- Jordie’s Sweet Treats – Dessert & Pastry
- Christine – Jewelry and handmade creations
- Copperhead Club‘s own merchandise including hoodies, crewnecks, bottle openers, pins and a very special limited quantity of Peanut Butter Babies (a peanut butter whiskey that Kacie makes). In addition, they will also be selling Skinchanted CBD in orange and mint 1000mg.
Copperhead Club will be opening at 3 p.m. later than the normal 12 p.m. time, so that vendors have a chance to set up their stations.
Re-Discover Peekskill and shop small
Whether you are downtown this weekend or elsewhere in Peekskill, make sure you walk around the area and Re-Discover Peekskill. Shop Peekskill’s small shops, restaurants and businesses located throughout the city. Here is a glance at what the downtown ahas to offer in this local guide. Make sure to check out the Peekskill Holiday Tree, the holiday deer at the Neighborhood Center and Monument Park, and visit the Peekskill Arts Alliance BIG Arts show for free located in the old Ford Piano Building.
Parking is free for up to four-hours at metered and numbered spaces in the Nelson Avenue and James Street parking garages during the holiday season, so there is plenty of parking.
Back Home for the Holidays at Anotonia Arts on December 27
Next week, on December 27th, Anotonia Arts will present Back Home for the Holidays from 7 – 9 p.m. This event is a special evening of friendship, family, and fun. The evening will entertain audiences with special performances, the Wiz Kids, singing, dancing, poetry, and a celebration of Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa.
There will be ample time for people to share their talent, share with others your plans for the upcoming year, or to just say hello to others in a community gathering.
“It is a time for many to remember and talk about past traditions and look forward to 2025,” said Scarlett Antonia, founder of Antonia Arts. Scarlett added, “after 25 years we are still here and just as creative as ever.” There is no charge for this event but donations are accepted.
