Friday, December 13
Meet Santa at the Emerald Peek – 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Every year, Santa makes a special appearance at the Emerald Peek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center to celebrate the holiday and give away some jolly good cheer. Visit the Emerald Peek Winter Wonderland between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m. where you can meet and take a picture with Santa and receive your photo in a festive frame. In addition, complimentary hot chocolate and candy canes will be served in the lobby. While there, enjoy their outside Christmas display.
Peekskill Arts Alliance BIG Art Show – Friday to Sunday – various times
The Peekskill Arts Alliance BIG Art Show will continue the entire weekend at the old Ford Piano Building. Visit for free and see large-scale works by PAA members. The Big Art Show will be open on Friday from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Saturday from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m., and Sunday from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Visit KinoSaito’s annual Community Art Benefit – Friday to Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
KinoSaito’s largest community event of the year, the annual Community Art benefit, begins on Friday starting at 10 a.m. Throughout the entire weekend, KinoSaito will open their doors for their 2nd annual Community Art Benefit. During the 3-day exhibition, KinoSaito aims to highlight the wealth of talent and skill in artistic ability that can be found in our local community. Almost 200 artists in all stages of their careers from the Hudson Valley and beyond submitted to the 2024 KinoSaito Annual this year.
The annual Community Art Benefit is an opportunity for artists to show and sell their work, as well as be a fundraiser for KinoSaito as they head into their fourth year of operations. Last year, in 2023, over 100 artists were selected to participate in their first community open call and they were able to raise over $17,000 in sales to support both KinoSaito and local artists.
The free opening reception of the Community Art Benefit will be held on Saturday, December 14, but RSVP is required and can be completed by using this link. The exhibition is on view Friday to Sunday, December 13 to 15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information visit, https://www.kinosaito.org/

PCSD Winter Wonderland Saturday Academy – 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The PCSD will host a Saturday Academy Winter Wonderland at the Peekskill Middle School from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be soccer games, arts & crafts, holiday themed activities for families, a live D.J, and community partners. This will be a festive event and fun should be had by all.
City of Peekskill Snow Globe at Puglsey Park – 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
The City of Peekskill interactive snow globe is returning ton Saturday. Capture the magic of the holiday season with family and friends with the interactive snow globe from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Pugsley Park. All are welcome to visit and have their holiday photos taken in the snow globe. It will be an amazing picture event. Don’t forget your camera.
Wreath laying ceremony at Hillside Cemetery – 12 p.m.
A brief wreath laying ceremony will be hosted by the Peekskill American Legion where the names will be read of all 89 War Dead who are buried between the Assumption, Hillside, Old St. Peter’s/ VanCortlandtville and First Hebrew cemeteries. HoliYAY Market – Saturday & Sunday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. each day
From Christmas trees to holiday gifts and everything in between, the Peekskill HoliYAY! Market will transform Peekskill’s Railroad Avenue into a winter wonderland of local shopping and holiday spirit featuring 40 vendors, local musicians, organizations, Santa and more. Peekskill Clay Studios Winter Market – Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m

First Hebrew Children’s Hanukkah Celebration & Pajama Party – 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Celebrate Hanukkah with Jewish Culture 4 Kids at the First Hebrew Congregation on Main Street in Peekskill from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The pajama party event is for kids age 6 and under and will be filled with latkes, pizza, and a pajama and dance party featuring Bobby Doowah. 5th Annual Town of Cortlandt Winter Wonderland – 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Visit the Town of Cortlandt Youth & Recreation Center from 3 pm. to 6 p.m. for the fifth annual Town of Cortlandt Winter Wonderland. Enjoy inflatable rides for children, food trucks, ice skating, and a visit from Santa. Hendrick Hudson Library Opening Art Reception 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Join the Hendrick Hudson Free Library and Christina Gorman as they celebrate the opening art reception entitled “Catskill Animal Sanctuary: Portraits of Rescued Farm Animals” by Christina Gorman. The artwork will be located throughout the 2nd floor corridor and Conference Room from December 13 until December 30, 2024. No registration is required.

Join the Peekskill Presbyterian Church and the rest of Peekskill as everyone is invited to a free Christmas Carol Sing-Along starting at 4:00 p.m. The Christmas Carol Sing-Along will feature all of the classic Christmas music, hymns and readings. Light refreshments and pastries will be served afterward. Everyone is welcome.
