In just a few days, on Sunday, November 10, starting at 7:00 p.m., the final show of the Fall season of South Street Jazz will take place featuring none other than Sarah Elizabeth Charles. Sarah is “…both technically brilliant and emotionally bold…” states Revive Music. “Sarah Elizabeth Charles is an exhilarating vocalist who clearly rises above the field. Every time she appears on a project of someone else’s, in some new configuration, or releasing work of her own, it’s a breath of fresh air and a reminder of how great and inspiring music can really be,” says Anthony Dean-Harris in The Art of Cool Project. Nate Chinen from the NY Times states, “Ms. Charles has a soulfully articulate vocal style, a mix of strong projection and subtle detail.” Whatever you do on November 10th, seeing Sarah Elizabeth Charles in downtown Peekskill at the South Street Jazz has got to be at the top of the list. Accompanying Sarah at South Street Jazz will be Jordan Peters on guitar and Keita Ogawa on percussion.
