As Autumn brings beautiful colors to the trees, the leaves begin to fall, and the weather stays a lovely 70 to 75 degrees, our friends and neighbors throughout Peekskill have decided it’s perfect weather to declutter the house, put items they no longer want out in the driveway, and as Jim Cramer of Mad Money says, “Sell, Sell, Sell” in a Community Wide Tag Sale.
On Saturday, October 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Mortgage Hill neighborhood in Peekskill will be hosting a multi-household tag sale that they are hoping many others in the city will join. Currently over 8 homes will be putting items out for sale from mid-century furniture and Danish modern lighting, to household items, quality vintage, jewelry, collectibles, clothing, art and so much more.
Currently the following addresses have confirmed they are participating:
- 1625 Hyatt Avenue
- 1638 Hyatt Avenue
- 1765 Congress Avenue
- 1457 Elm Street
- 1452 Elm Street
- 100 Nassau Place
- 922 Elm Street
If you are interested in participating, contact Rex Kelly at [email protected] or text him at 917-592-2233 to have your address added to the list and put on the map. Rex says, “The more, the merrier! Let’s take this opportunity to clear out some space, find new treasures, and enjoy a fun day connecting with our neighbors. Looking forward to seeing you out and about!”
Towards the end of the week, Rex will update the map and put out a final map of homes participating in the Community Wide Tag Sale on a myriad of Facebook groups. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to not only meet your neighbors, but also have a chance to get some great gifts and useful items, all while upcycling and keeping them from being thrown out. It’s a win-win-win; for them, for you and for the environment.
