The Garden Club of Peekskill in partnership with Peekskill Herald invite all to join in their first “Welcome Home for the Holidays” decorating contest. “Welcome Home for the Holidays” is a contest that gives you a chance to show your holiday spirit!
Have you decorated your front door and/or porch for the holiday season? Maybe you have just decorated the balcony. Maybe you have gone Clark Griswold from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and decorated the porch, the house, the roof and even the yard! Whether you celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or just enjoy winter decorations, this could be a great project involving your whole family. Whether you are in a house or an apartment, a condo or a townhouse, whether you live in the City of Peekskill, the Town of Cortlandt, or the tri-villages of Verplanck, Buchanan or Montrose, everyone is invited to help the Garden Club of Peekskill spread festive cheer across our entire community.
The “Welcome Home for the Holidays” contest includes two categories: an Adult category and a Youth/ Children under age 18 category (parental assistance allowed). Winners in each category will be awarded gift certificates for the Garden Club of Peekskill’s Annual Mother’s Day Plant sale on Saturday May 11, 2024. Photos of all entries will be posted on the Peekskill Herald website and the Garden Club of Peekskill Facebook page.
To enter, email a photo of your Adult or Youth/ Kids under 18 entry to [email protected]. Please include your name and the address of the location in your photo as well as your age, if under 18. All entries must be received by Wednesday, December 20. Winners will be announced on Saturday, December 23.
This contest is sponsored by the Garden Club of Peekskill in partnership with the Peekskill Herald, our community’s online local news source.
