For the 29th year, internationally acclaimed vocal artist Mary Mancini, and world renowned accordionist Mario Tacca will hold “A Glorious Christmas Concert” at the Church of the Assumption this Friday, December 15th from 7:00-9:00 pm. Joining them for this year’s performance will be The Hudson Valley Accordion Ensemble. Meet the performers after the concert and enjoy light refreshments in the Fr. Wilson Social Hall, located on the lower level. Adult tickets cost $20 and for those 15 years and under the price is $15 per ticket. Local vocal artist Mary Mancini has been featured in various newspapers and has performed in a variety of venues around the world. Mary has headlined numerous concert halls and festivals throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and twice in the People’s Republic of China. She is able to sing in eight different languages, drawing from a deep repertory reservoir. She is adept at pop, show tunes, operatic arias, and sacred music and has received worldwide acclaim.
Accordionist aficionado, Mario Tacca has been playing the accordion since he was 12 years old when his father took him to his first accordion teacher. Mario has had concerts in Italy, France, Germany, England, across the US, Europe and China.
Together, Mary and Mario who are married, have been making music together for 41 years, recording ten CDs. They are proud to call the Church of the Assumption in Peekskill ‘Home’.
