Peekskill residents may experience water outages from Wednesday, April 5 through Friday, April 7, as the city replaces valves along Broad Street that feed the high service area.  Four 12’’ pipes need valves replaced and residents may experience low or no water pressure and discolored water. The city advises that if there is discolored water to run cold water for a period.

“We chose this week since schools are not in session,” said Water Superintendent David Rambo. He explained to the Common Council during Monday’s work session that Drum Hill Senior Living Community would be impacted and the Ft. Hill neighborhood, both of which are on the high service area.

Rambo, who gave a detailed report about the city’s water infrastructure during the meeting, said the goal is to replace valves on aging 12” pipes.
