Journeyman Bakery, which launched amid the pandemic with online ordering and curbside pickup, begins in-store retail operations Saturday at their location at 638 Central Avenue.
“We’ve invested in protective barriers as well as a unique ‘traffic light’ system to make it clear when it’s okay to enter the bakery and help maintain social distancing,” said founder Michael Sellers. Customers are asked to follow the directions on the door sign when arriving. There will be no more curbside pickups.  Since there will be limited retail bread selection, customers are encouraged to order online at www.journeymanbakery.com to guarantee a specific loaf from the menu for that week is available.
Assistant Baker Karl Wagner joined Journeyman recently and is heading up the recipe section of the website. PanzanellaThe first entry is a summer dish that uses Journeyman Bread as a main ingredient. In addition to in-store operations, Journeyman will carry accessory items for bread such as butters from Ronnybrook Farms.
